WHY START AN ECO-CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN?

Our organization has completed many environmental improvement activities in the Eastern Townships, from watercourse cleanups to riverbank revegetation and educational activities (conferences and Salon de la Nature show). We removed tonnes of waste materials from watercourses, planted thousands of trees and shrubs along riverbanks and began educating an increasing number of citizens. Our work to improve aquatic and riparian environments in the Eastern Townships is well underway, but much remains to be done.

For many years, Action Saint-François has received funding from many levels of government and offered its services free of charge. But with the government’s multiple cutbacks in the environmental sector and austerity measures, our organization is increasingly struggling to meet its financial needs and pursue its conservation mission. We wish to continue our positive and useful work, but cannot do so without funding.
