VOLUNTEER WORK

WATERCOURSE CLEANUPS

One of Action Saint-François’s most popular activities is watercourse cleanups. Since the organization was founded in 1992, thousands of people have taken part in these cleanup activities. We still find open dumping sites and conduct between 15 and 30 cleanup activities per year.

Each Saturday morning, volunteers gather in the Grenouillère parking lot (see the map here) at 7:45 a.m.,  return at noon.

To find out more, please visit the Watercourse cleanups page.

PLANTING ACTIVITIES

Aquatic environment conservation is very important to Action Saint-François. Numerous species live in water ecosystems, which we help improve through revegetation.

There are several planting activities each year, and you can check our activities calendar to know the planting dates.

Experience with tree and shrub planting is useful, but not absolutely necessary.

OFFICE WORK

For those who would be happy to let others do the fieldwork, there are always some volunteer office work opportunities. Action Saint-François is constantly looking for volunteers who can take care of the organization’s accounting needs or maintain its database of members. Office volunteers can also seek out funding, design graphics for our posters and brochures, etc.

SALON DE LA NATURE

Action Saint-François depends on volunteers to organize its Salon de la Nature show. A volunteer can be assigned to scout speakers, exhibitors, and workshop facilitators, among other things.
