\/><\/strong><\/h4><p>Our organization has completed many environmental improvement activities in the Eastern Townships, from watercourse cleanups to riverbank revegetation and educational activities (conferences and <em>Salon de la Nature<\/em> show). We removed tonnes of waste materials from watercourses, planted thousands of trees and shrubs along riverbanks and began educating an increasing number of citizens. Our work to improve aquatic and riparian environments in the Eastern Townships is well underway, but much remains to be done.<\/p><p>For many years, Action Saint-Fran\u00e7ois has received funding from many levels of government and offered its services free of charge. But with the government\u2019s multiple cutbacks in the environmental sector and austerity measures, our organization is increasingly struggling to meet its financial needs and pursue its conservation mission. We wish to continue our positive and useful work, but cannot do so without funding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-31e908b\" data-id=\"31e908b\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap #000000;\">WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?<\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Volunteers make up about 50% of watercourse cleanup crews, while the other 50% includes experienced employees tasked with coordinating volunteers.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>95% of riverbank revegetation work is done by specialized employees.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Awareness and education activities, such as our conferences and the <em>Salon de la Nature<\/em>, are organized by employees specializing in communications and event planning.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>We also hire qualified, paid employees for office work and organizational management.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Our basic expenses such as rent and garage rentals, truck use and maintenance, permits, communication services, etc. are all essential to the smooth running of the
